Work UI/UX Design
Sublime Care Cloud
An ERP platform whose modules are generated from metadata, so new screens ship as configuration instead of new code.
How we did it
From first research to a brand that runs every day
Each step below is work that actually happened on this project, in the order it happened.
Start
Step 01
Scope and discovery
We mapped how the business actually runs - customers, operations, stock and reporting - before deciding what the platform had to cover.
Step 02
A metadata engine
JSON field definitions describe each module once, and the same definitions generate the data entry forms and the list views.
Step 03
The admin client
An Angular client with role-based access and module routing, so every screen behaves the same way whoever is logged in.
Step 04
API and data model
An ASP.NET Core API over SQL Server, with modules that register themselves from the controllers rather than being wired in by hand.
Step 05
Reporting
A self-service report builder so staff can assemble the report they need without a developer writing a new screen.
Step 06
Ongoing development
New modules are added as configuration and released in small steps, with the platform in daily use throughout.
Outcome
01
The challenge
Businesses run operations across disconnected tools and spreadsheets, and every new area of the business usually means another custom screen to build and maintain.
02
What we built
An ERP platform built around a metadata engine: JSON field definitions generate both the forms and the tables, so a new module can be added from configuration. The Angular admin client handles role-based access and module routing, a .NET API and SQL Server sit behind it, and a self-service report builder lets staff assemble their own reports.
03
The outcome
Operations, customers and reporting run on one platform, and new modules no longer require a rewrite of the screens around them.
